“Hold Me Now” by the Thompson Twins is their biggest single off of their fourth album Into the Gap. The song was the Thompson Twins’ biggest hit in the United States, reaching to #4 on the UK Billboards and #3 in the United States (Song Facts). The song was written by band members Tom Bailey and Alannah Currie (with some help from fellow band member Joe Leeway). They were a couple at the time, and they wrote the song after they resolved a heated argument. They ended up getting married eight years later in 1991.
