Selected Photography from David Ishaya Osu
With each day comes its extremes, fears, anxieties, concerns, challenges, aspirations, victories and joys. Water being my primary element, I have recently started searching the sea of meanings, reasons, myths that form my dailiness. I take this search further by going out to photograph people on water, or by riverbanks. As people swim, as they paddle, as they immerse their body and soul, as they scream their fright or thrill into the body of water, as they try to reach a target, to either go deeper or further, or try to retreat or escape, it hits me passionately the reality we all face as human beings. This is one reason I have committed myself wholly to the art of documenting the dailiness of life as it happens wherever I find myself.
