Selected Visual Art from Taryn Riley
I create works that are inspired by my personal experiences — a visual diary of sorts. Ambiguity of purpose plays a large part in my work. Subjects and symbols are all planned with great intention to elicit a multiplicity of reads. I do not want these images or what is depicted within them to be a puzzle that is meant to be solved, but rather to offer juxtapositions that are open to interpretation.
