Hello and welcome to Twenty-two Twenty-eight. We created a paywall and subscriber system to balance our want to make our content widely available but also to help with our operational cost.

We do not use advertisements as a stream of revenue in order to retain uncompromising artistic and intellectual freedom. Many of our artists, poets, and writers deal with sensitive topics such as drug abuse, sexual assault, and suicide that would render the pieces unfit for advertisers.

We believe strongly in compensating our contributors for their work, as we believe in the importance of artists, writers, and poets for the health and welfare of society. Hence, they should be financially supported.
